I'm Emily, the owner and creator of this little shop.Whilst sourcing stationery, supplies and packaging for my own Very Important Wedding back in 2017, I went eco hunting to find the most sustainable options to bring our wedding dreams to life. I found it a big challenge to find anything suitable, so I started bulk purchasing eco friendly recycled cardstock, containers, seeds and paper to help us organise our big day.
Fast forward to 2018 and an even bigger dream came true, I was pregnant with twins who arrived just three weeks after the wedding (yes my wedding dress was a tent, a very beautiful tent at that).
During my maternity leave I applied for flexible/part time working to help us with our wonderful situation. Very thankfully this was rejected by the company I had dedicated 15 years of my life to. I decided to stop faffing on Etsy and turn it into something that fitted our new family life.
I started by selling my surplus stock and then developed and now regularly source and purchase new and interesting eco friendly materials to display in my Very Important Shop.Originally / pre pandemic, my main focus was weddings, but since then I've developed with lots of businesses to create eco friendly sustainable solutions for their businesses too! I also supply for all kinds of Important Dates!
During the pandemic I met (over the internet), a kindred spirit....another twin Mum who makes all the eco friendly, cruelty free natural candles and cosmetics found in the shop. We share the same values in life regarding eco consciousness of products. It's become the perfect union and one the best things that happened in lockdown.
